David is an experienced technologist, leader and social-impact entrepreneur, with a passion for innovation in healthcare especially within children’s health. David recently joined Alder Hey’s Innovation Team as a strategic advisor, with a focus on growth and sustainability in order to bring more resources both strategic and financial into the hub.

Prior to this role, David had a career with IBM spanning 24 years, most recently as a senior leader within IBM’s consulting division, and before as EMEA Leader for Watson Health.

David is the co-founder of children’s charity, Thinking of Oscar, which funds technology and innovation within paediatrics, whose mission is ‘to bring the future of healthcare to children’. He hosts the Not Mini Adults Podcast – “Pioneers for Children’s Healthcare and Wellbeing” and sits on the steering committee of the NIHR’s Children and Young People MedTech Cooperative.
