Zuhlke Engineering Ltd is the UK subsidiary of the privately held Zuhlke Group, a global innovation service provider founded in Switzerland in 1968. Zuhlke Group employs >1,800 people working in offices around the world.
Globally our very first project at Zuhlke in 1968 was a MedTech innovation in dentistry. Healthcare and MedTech have been at the heart of our business ever since. We are working across the world to drive innovative technological solutions to scale, in partnership with multiple MedTech, Pharma and Healthcare organisations. Healthcare represents 20% of the turnover. Our separate organisation, Zuhlke Ventures, supports 15 high-tech start-ups in the MedTech industry from early stage to exit.
In the UK we are best known for designing and building the NHS COVID-19 app to help break the chains of coronavirus transmission through digital contact tracing. It was the first app in the world to use the latest Google and Apple technology to better gauge distance and alert those most at risk without breaching individual privacy. Our approach was reused around the world. In 2022 we have started working with some brilliant MedTech firms in areas like cognitive impairment and cancer recovery. Our core skills are in delivering Software as a Medical Device (SaMD), regulatory compliant, explainable AI/ML solutions for diagnosis, and user-centred virtual care.
