Director of Digital Operations, Chelsea and Westminster NHS Trust
Bruno graduated in his home country of Portugal as a Registered Nurse in 2003 and went on to complete further training in Hospital Management before moving to the UK. Bruno joined the NHS in 2006 where he worked for Imperial College NHS Healthcare Trust in the acute clinical services. After four years, he went on to project management and operational roles, supporting productivity, efficiency and cost improvement programmes as well as working as General Manager focussing on patient access performance and quality improvement.
In 2014, he joined the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital as Deputy Chief Operating Officer and in 2017, Bruno moved to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as Divisional Director of Operations for Planned Care. In 2019, Bruno was appointed Director of Digital Operations. In his new role, he works with the Trust’s CW Innovation programme embedding and evaluating digital technologies to transform operational efficiency and, critically, patient care and patient experience.
